Do you find how America these day are just moving backwards?

For example, during that protest at Notre Dame, many students were angry and furious because the University had given Obama an honourable mention in his speech. Since the school mainly appeals to Catholics, they got furious of how the school could commend Obama views on unborn life. Furthermore, a priest, 78 year old Father Weslin was arrested and many other students. I find this very petrifying. This undermine the First Amendment of free speech. I just think that America is becoming too liberal and therefore, that blinds us from judging of what is right and wrong? What is your opinion on America these days?
