Search Warrant With Typo?
My mother and father in law were just arrested in a drug raid. The search warrant that was issued had the wrong address (it was crossed out and hand written in) The house that was listed on the warrant was described perfectly as they're house. They were arrested for manufacturing and intent to dist. marijuana. The police siezed 26 plants and 32 pounds. The 32 pounds was all leaf and stems that were in the garage in paper yard waste bags and the plants had two or three in each pot. He wasnt sure if they would all grow. As far as the intent to distrb. he had nothing seperated packaged or anything. My father in law is a very sick man who is in last stages of liver disease. He only does it to have an appetite to eat. My question is with the address being wrong and crossed out is the warrant legal. This took place is Illinois last week. We bonded him out the next day. They both had 150k bonds cost us 30k to bail them out.
