People will say "that's not a sport" concerning some activities; i.e. cheerleading. While Shakespeare's ""What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" is all well and good, sometimes a name conveys a certain perception of a thing. So, if "sports" were called "athletics" instead, then would those unconventional "sports" seem to fit better?
